About Beantown University

This blog began in January 2008 as part of Northeastern Professor Dan Kennedy's Reinventing the News class, a course that studies the future of journalism in regards to new media ventures. The original incarnation was to do analysis on what the various college media publications in and around the Boston area were accomplishing in the areas of reporting, writing and new media components. The blog has since kept that focus while adding on publishing breaking news or other news that relates to college audiences.
