Watch out for that train

Several media outlets reported that a Boston College student wearing headphones was hit by a Green Line Trolley this morning.

The Boston Globe reports, T: Student wearing earphones hit by Green Line trolley.

According to the article the student, identified as 21-year-old Michael J. Cordo of Sudbury,"suffered serious head injuries and facial lacerations and was taken to Brigham and Women's Hospital."

The incident occurred on the B-Line, where service was interrupted until mid-afternoon.

The comment boards at the Globe have lit up as people share their stories of near T misses and argue about who is to blame.

I have my own tale of near disaster with an E-Line train, but mine happened to be as part of an Apple 24-hour film contest and is documented in the below video that ironically looks at the perils of living life trapped by headphones.

No news about this incident yet posted by The Heights or any other college newspapers as far as I can find. Will update more as information becomes available. According to the reports, the incident is under investigation.
